Brittany Newton

My name is Brittany Newton and I'm a junior at Ohio Northern University.

 

As you already know my major at Ohio Northern University, I am involved with multiple organizations on campus that I am very dedicated to. I am the Community Relations Coordinator for Religious Life Staff, Executive Director for St. Jude Soldiers, Vice President of Public Relations for Panhellenic Council, President's Club and other various clubs. Needless to say, I enjoy being involved.

Other than being involved around campus, academically, I have found my passion in writing news stories including feature and article writing. I also enjoy shooting photographs and video for the school newspaper, the Northern Review. In addition, I enjoy public speaking and blog writing. 

 

While I am not focused on school and organizations around campus, I enjoy spending time in the  practice rooms of Presser Hall, singing my heart out. I have been singing since the age of 7 and I have not stopped singing since. It is my release. Some of my other hobbies include reading, writing and avidly organizing my life. Living life to fullest, everyday, is a lesson that I have thankfully learned during my college career. 



Upon acceptance to Ohio Northern, I entered as a Vocal Performance major. My switch to Communication Studies was not an easy one. However, within a semester of classes in the department I realized that communications is another kind of performing that I was so used to doing through singing anyway. I hope I can strive to go as far in the real world as communications has taken me through my college career.
